2 - Body and Bath Works, 3 Wick Candle - £various These are only available in the USA at the moment I believe, I would love someone to correct me, I had one from a friend that was so lush I wish I could get another, They are available on Ebay but the shipping costs are rather pricey!

3- MAC Impassioned Lip Stick - £ 14 avalilable here  I recently went to MAC and saw this colour and have no idea why I did not purchase it! grrr. This is one of MAC's amplified colours, which in my opinion are the best, they give such a nice moisturised colour to your lips!

5 - NARS Andy Warhol Limited Edition Eye Palette. I am not sure if you can get these yet, they are part of the AW12 collection so may not be avalibe yet, You can get this in 3 different colours, I love the Grey one. As I have said before I'm a sucker for anything gimmicky!

Wishful Thinking #2

Wednesday, 8 August 2012

This weeks wish list has some  of my most wanted products including the ONE product I need... as I want it so badly, I will start with it...

Sigma Beauty - Limited Edition Paris Palette $59

I am in love with this palette! the colours are absolutely beautiful, and have been inspired by famous landmarks in Paris. They are also really nicely named after the places. Within the palette you get 8 eye shadows, 3 blushers and 2 applicator brushes. I can only find this on the American Sigma site, so I am doubtful that I can order it, but would do anything to get my hands on it.

You can get this here on the US Sigma site

Leighton Denny, Lip Dual - 03 In The Nude £17.50

These Lip colours are amazing, you effectively get three products in one. It is designed so you can wear the Lip Stain during the day, which gives you a subtle colour that stays put until you remove it (it reminds me a little of Benefit's 'Benetint' ). You can then change the look for a more glossy night time finish, by adding the Lip Stick to give you a dewy satin lip colour. You can get these in 10 different colours, my favourite is the coral shades of In The Nude.

you can pick these up here

Sigma Essentials Kit - Make Me Blush £121.99

Again this is another Sigma product that has been on my wish list for such a long time. I love these brushes, and love the fact you can get them in some quite funky colours. I am really into corals and pinks at the moment, so really want to get my hands on the Make Me Blush kit. in the kit you get 12 brushes that Sigma say, you can complete your makeup with, you also get the brushes in a solid leather holder which is great, if like me you need to transport your makeup to different shoots.

I have found these here in the UK and also here on the sigma site.

NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation £29.50

I have been having a battle recently with foundation, I have found it really difficult to find one that I love and would wear everyday. I spent years being a smoker ( I have now quit for 9 months woo!) so as a result, I do not have the best complexion and I love a flawless finish. This foundation has a satin finish which I feel instantly wakes my skin up and gives me the flawless look I want. I can't wait to get paid and buy this foundation!

You can grab this here at John Lewis

MAC - Lustre Drops £17.50

This is a liquid shimmery bronzer in effect, I think that it is too shimmery to wear 'neat' on your skin, however I love to add a few drops to my foundation to give me a shimmery radiant glow. I guess in a way it's a way to make your own NARS Sheer Glow foundation with your own drug store foundation! this bottle will last you yonks, so is defiantly a cheaper way to get the same effect.

you can get this here at Debenhams

What do you think of my Wednesday wish list? what's on yours?

The Only Way is Essex 80's party

Monday, 30 July 2012

I have created this look after watching The Only Way is Essex on Sunday 30th July on ITV 2. The cast had an 80's party and I just loved Gemma Collin's eye makeup. She had a black, copper/gold coloured eye with dramatic dark lashes.

I used the following products to re create this look. I am allergic to eye lash glue, so have not added them to my look however. I think that they would Finnish the look very well.

Urban Decay Naked 2 -Colours used Blackout and Bootycall

MAC Cosmetics Glitter - Reflects Bronze

MAC Cosmetics Kohl - Smoulder

MAC cosmetics Penultimate Eyeliner- Black

Benefit They’re Real Mascara - Black

Rimmel Eye Brow Pencil - 001 Dark Brown

Step 1

The first step in this look, is to create the black base on your eye lid, the items that I used for this step are below. I believe that the brush that you get in the Naked 2 pallet is perfect.

*Secret* - Don't worry if you cannot get the perfect shape with your eye shadow, or you bring the colour too high. Use a cotton bud that is slightly moist to mop all the excess up and gain that perfect shape!

  • Add 'Blackout' all over your eye lid, creating a domed shape that goes just above your crease line.
  • Use the cotton bud to ensure that you have your desired  shape and clean up any mistakes.
  • Bring Blackout under the eye, ensuring that you keep the colour close to the water line, using the applicator end of your brush.
  • Use the fluffy end of your brush to blend the edges of your shape to remove any hard edges.
Tip - Use very light strokes to achieve this

 Step 2

Add the kohl liner to your waterline and upper lash line

 Step 3

You now need to add the Bronze/gold glitter to your lids.
  • Use the flat end of your brush.Apply the glitter to your brush.
  • Ensure that you tap the brush to remove any loose glitter.
  • Using a 'patting' motion, add the glitter over your lid on the same areas that you have already applied  blackout
  • Use your Penultimate eyeliner to draw a thin line over your lash line.

Step 4

When you are happy with the glitter coverage, add your mascara (and false eyelashes if using) I like to add lots of mascara for a real dramatic look.

Gemma likes to use quite a prominent highlighter on her brow bone, this is completely optional depending on the look that you prefer. In the pictures below I have used Bootycall on my brow bone.

What do you think of my re-creation of Gemma's look?

Send me your pictures as I would love to see them!
I am new to tutorials so please can I ask you to give me some honest feedback, I'd love to know if they are useful and how easy they are to follow. What would you change?
Thank you
